Sidekick LX Targets Older, Upscale Audience

T-Mobile's Sidekick, a must have device among high-profile users such as Paris Hilton and Serena Williams, is launching a luxury edition of the popular phone, Sidekick LX.

“T-Mobile Sidekick customers are an amazingly loyal and enthusiastic group that are passionate about their phones and being the hub of their social circle,” said Jeff Hopper, vice president of marketing, T-Mobile USA.

Designed by Sharp, Sidekick LX is thinner and smoother. A larger screen incorporates high-definition LCD technology with a swivel display. Users can take pictures using a flash, message one another and set mood lights that trigger alerts for specific text, email and phone calls.

Available in midnight blue or espresso brown finish, Sidekick LX debuts on October 17th for existing T-Mobile customers. Others can buy the device a week later.
