iPod Touch, the Wi-Fi enabled music player from Apple, has been upgraded with a host of new features. Beginning today you can customize the home screen and watch iTunes movie rentals. The new software upgrade costs 20 dollars.

New iPod Touch Features:
  • Mail
  • Maps
  • Weather
  • Stocks
  • Notes
Mail can now be configured using popular web-based email accounts such as Hotmail, Yahoo, Google's Gmail. POP and IMAP email are also supported. View mail in rich HTML displaying text and graphics attached to the email.

Maps now can find your location based on where your Wi-Fi connection originates from. You can get hybrid views combining satellite and map graphics.

Use the notes feature to jot down things your need to remember, or better yet write the first iPod Touch authored book using this feature. Also receive real-time stock and weather information.
